Learn more about our investment strategy and how we use your FDR funds to invest

How Does Our FDR Investment Work?

At Zenith, our FDR (Fixed Deposit Receipt) investment is designed to provide you with a structured way to invest your funds for a predetermined period and earn a fixed return based on the FDR plan you select.

To get started, you choose an available FDR plan based on your preferred investment amount and duration. Once you confirm your investment, the selected amount is allocated to the FDR plan and remains invested for the agreed period.

During the investment period, your funds earn returns according to the terms and rate specified for your selected plan. The expected maturity amount and investment duration are displayed before you confirm your investment, allowing you to understand the applicable terms.

When the FDR reaches its maturity date, your initial investment together with the applicable return is credited to your Zenith account, subject to the terms of the selected plan. Depending on the plan, you may then withdraw your funds or choose to reinvest them in another FDR.

Our FDR plans are intended for investors who prefer a fixed-term investment structure with clearly defined terms and returns rather than investments whose returns fluctuate with daily market movements.

How it works

For example, suppose an FDR plan offers:

  • Investment: $1,000
  • Term: 12 months
  • Interest: 10% per year

You deposit the $1,000 and agree to leave it invested for 12 months.

If the terms use simple annual interest:

Interest = $1,000 × 10% = $100

At maturity:

$1,000 principal + $100 interest = $1,100

The FDR would normally show details such as the principal, interest rate, deposit date, maturity date and applicable conditions.
